Skin overview

Fairy Tale stays a loud, colourful pistol even after use: the magenta frame, white grip and the princess scene remain the main impression. In Field-Tested the edges of the slide and the muzzle start to show scuffs, while the characters in the middle are still clearly readable. This is a sensible middle point between a clean look and a lower entry level.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The slide is outlined in bright magenta and carries a red castle under a blue sky with clouds, a yellow sun-flower and green leaves along its lower edge. Towards the rear of the slide a pink unicorn and a red-haired princess take over the scene, with the princess continuing down onto the grip.

Scuffs become noticeable along the slide edges, at the muzzle and on the lower lip of the trigger guard. The white areas of the frame and grip pick up light grey marks, and the magenta trim can look slightly faded on the corners. The princess, unicorns and castle are still clearly readable in the centre of the artwork. In game the pistol looks bright, with wear visible mainly on inspection.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Pink, purple and holographic stickers blend with the magenta trim and the unicorns, while white or pastel designs sit well on the white frame. Placing stickers on the slide away from the princess keeps the main character visible.

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade keep the white frame and grip noticeably brighter.
• Look at the top edges and front of the slide and the muzzle, which lose paint first.
• Inspect the princess's face and the unicorns on worn copies, because chips there change the look the most.
• Check applied stickers and name tag, as they can either suit or clash with the busy artwork.
