Skin overview

Midnight Paintover is recognised by its busy, sprayed-over teal pattern on a dark slide. In Field-Tested the graffiti still dominates the view, while the front of the slide and its edges start to show lighter spots where the film has lifted. It is the grade where the skin begins to look used rather than freshly painted.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The slide is covered with a hydrographic graffiti pattern of bright teal and cyan splashes over dark navy and black, running from the muzzle to the rear sight. The lower part of the slide and the rail area show the same teal pattern on a lighter metallic base, and the trigger carries it as well.

Lighter worn spots appear on the muzzle, the front corners of the slide and around the rear sight. The central part of the slide sides still shows the graffiti clearly. At normal distance the scuffs mostly merge with the splashy pattern and the pistol still reads as blue and black. The frame shows little change.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Teal, cyan, white and black stickers continue the graffiti palette well. Holo or foil stickers in cool blue tones placed on the slide work best, while warm colours can contrast strongly with the dark frame.

• Look at the front edge of the slide and the muzzle, since these show wear first on this finish.
• Check where the float sits within the grade, especially for Field-Tested and Well-Worn copies where the difference is visible.
• Remember that Battle-Scarred copies of this skin only cover the cleanest end of that grade.
