Skin overview

At Battle-Scarred the Digital Mesh pattern on the G3SG1 is broken up by heavy abrasion, leaving only fragments of the red, white and charcoal squares. The painted handguard and stock look rough and patchy, which gives the rifle a gritty, worn-out appearance. It is the cheapest way to put this camo on your rifle.

Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The digital camouflage covers the long handguard and the stock, built from small red, white and charcoal squares on a dark base. The upper receiver, the scope and its mount stay black, the barrel and front sight are bare dark metal, and the magazine and pistol grip keep their plain grey and black finish.

The pattern on the handguard and stock is heavily broken, with only scattered fragments of the coloured squares left. Abrasion covers the edges and spreads across the flat surfaces. In game the rifle looks rough and worn, with the camo reduced to a blotchy texture. The black scope and unpainted metal parts are the cleanest areas.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.8

The float of Souvenir G3SG1 | Digital Mesh ranges from 0 to 0.8; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.8 — 44% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir G3SG1 | Digital Mesh belongs to The Operation Broken Fang Collection, which holds 17 skins.

It drops from Operation Broken Fang Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Red, white and black stickers echo the camo and blend into the handguard. Placing them on the dark receiver area keeps the pixel pattern visible, while muted military-style designs suit the overall look.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since the edges of the handguard and stock show the difference first.
  • Inspect the handguard closely, because it carries the brightest red and white squares and loses contrast most visibly.
  • Look at any applied stickers or name tag and decide whether they fit your plans for the rifle.
  • If you want the kill counter or a Souvenir copy, make sure the listing is the right variant.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred
