Skin overview

Flux turns the G3SG1 into a dark rifle with a purple metallic core and silver accents. In Field-Tested the purple still dominates, but scuffs on the scope, handguard and magazine edges start to show the metal underneath. The skin keeps its character and gains a slightly used look.

Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The handguard, receiver and stock are covered with glossy metallic purple panels, broken up by flowing silver-grey shapes that run along the body. The scope tube is purple with black end caps, while the barrel, flash hider and sights stay dark.

Wear becomes visible on the scope tube, the upper edges of the handguard and receiver, and the magazine edges, where grey metal shows through the purple. The stock corners start to scuff as well. The central panels still hold most of their colour, so in game the rifle reads as purple with a worn outline.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir G3SG1 | Flux is 0–0.9; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (26% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Purple, silver and holographic stickers match the metallic finish best. Black or chrome-style stickers on the receiver keep the dark, restrained look, while bright warm colours tend to clash with the purple.

• Check where the float sits within its wear grade, since lower values keep more purple on the scope and edges.
• Look at the scope tube and magazine first, as they show wear earliest on this finish.
• On worn copies, check how much purple remains on the stock and handguard panels.
• Check any applied stickers and name tag to make sure they fit what you want on the rifle.
