Skin overview

In Field-Tested the map strip on the receiver is still easy to recognise, but its red and yellow areas start to show grey wear along the top edge and around the magazine well. The rest of the rifle is dark by design, so the scuffs stay concentrated on the coloured band. It gives a slightly used, field-map character to the skin.

Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The base of the rifle is dark grey with an olive tint: barrel, handguard, scope, pistol grip, stock and magazine stay in this muted colour. The artwork sits on the receiver as a horizontal band of red, pink, yellow and green patches separated by thin dark lines, resembling zones on a tactical map.

Wear becomes noticeable along the top of the receiver and around the magazine well, where the red and yellow paint shows grey spots. The edges of the coloured zones start to blur. At normal distance the map motif is still clear. The scope and stock look mostly unchanged because of their dark base.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The float of Souvenir G3SG1 | Keeping Tabs ranges from 0 to 0.7; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 33% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Operation Riptide Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Operation Riptide Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in red, yellow or green echo the map zones on the receiver, while dark or matte stickers sit quietly on the grey handguard and stock. Placing them on the dark parts keeps the map strip uncovered.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the coloured band on the receiver shows the difference most clearly.
  • Inspect the top edge of the receiver and the borders of the map strip, as they lose paint first.
  • Look at the area around the magazine well, where wear spreads in the middle and lower grades.
  • Note any stickers or name tag already applied, as they change the look of the receiver.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who want the map motif clearly visible on a budget.
  • Buyers who like a slightly used look on a utility rifle.
  • A practical everyday option.
