Skin overview

Battle-Scarred Galil AR | Chromatic Aberration turns the glitch finish into a heavily scratched one, with paint lost on the receiver, magazine and stock edges. Patches of magenta and cyan still break through the grey, so the rifle keeps a hint of its original look. This is the cheapest entry into the skin for those who like a battered style.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver carries hot magenta stripes laid over a dark base with a shifted, doubled outline that creates the chromatic aberration effect. The handguard and barrel stay dark grey and black with small white lettering on the ribbed section.

Heavy paint loss covers the receiver, magazine and stock, leaving only patches of magenta and cyan. Much of the white lettering is gone. The glitch outlines of the stripes are hard to read. In game the rifle looks dark and battered with flashes of colour.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–1

The whole float range of Souvenir Galil AR | Chromatic Aberration is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir Galil AR | Chromatic Aberration belongs to The Snakebite Collection, which holds 17 skins.

It drops from Snakebite Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in magenta, pink, cyan or holographic tones match the neon accents of the finish. Black and white stickers fit the dark handguard and stock without competing with the stripes. Placing them on the dark parts keeps the receiver pattern visible.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since wear on this skin grows quickly on the bright magenta areas.
  • Look at the magazine edges and line art, as they lose paint before the rest of the rifle.
  • Inspect the top of the receiver where the stripes sit, because chips there are visible in first-person view.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag so they fit the neon colour scheme you want.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Players who like a battered, worn-in look on a bright finish.
  • Buyers who want the cheapest entry into this Classified skin.
  • Conclusion: for fans of heavy wear, not for collectors of clean copies.
