Skin overview

Connexion is recognised by its segmented orange-red handguard, red muzzle device and the Phoenix markings sprayed across a white and red body. In Minimal Wear the overall look is practically the same as the cleanest grade, with only faint marks on the sharpest edges. It gives nearly the full artwork without paying for a flawless copy.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The front end carries the brightest colours: the muzzle device and front sight are painted orange-red, and the handguard is wrapped in ribbed orange-red rings over a red and white base. The receiver is dark grey with red and white areas and sprayed Phoenix markings along the side, with a red section near the charging handle.

Small light scratches may appear on the muzzle tip and the outer edges of the handguard rings. The white areas and the receiver markings remain clean. At normal viewing distance the skin is hard to tell apart from Factory New. Only a close inspection reveals the first marks on the front end.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Red, orange and white stickers continue the finish's palette, while black or dark grey ones blend with the receiver and magazine. Placements along the grey receiver side work best, as they do not cover the orange handguard rings.

What to look at before you buy

• Check the float position within the wear grade, since a low float keeps the orange handguard rings noticeably cleaner.
• Inspect the muzzle, front sight and handguard ridges, as these parts lose paint first.
• Look at whether the Phoenix markings on the receiver are still legible on worn copies.
• Check any applied stickers and name tag, and whether the StatTrak™ version suits you.
