Show allAllSkin overview
Even in its most worn state, Deep Relief is recognisable by the green and sand colour of its panels and the dark body underneath. Battle-Scarred brings heavy scratching across the magazine box, receiver panels and stock, with the darker base showing through the layers. This is the most affordable way to run the skin for players who accept a rough look.
Item type: machinegun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The barrel, receiver frame and small parts are kept in a dark olive-grey, which works as a frame for the coloured panels. The receiver side panels, the box magazine and the stock carry the main drawing: concentric contour lines in pale yellow, lime and deeper green that imitate stepped layers going inward, like a relief map.
Heavy scratching covers the magazine box, the stock and the receiver panels, and large parts of the contour drawing are broken up. The dark base shows through widely, especially around the box edges. In game the weapon reads as a heavily scuffed green M249 with traces of the layered pattern. The darker barrel and frame look the least affected.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1
The whole float range of Souvenir M249 | Deep Relief is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir M249 | Deep Relief belongs to The Operation Broken Fang Collection, which holds 17 skins.
The source is Operation Broken Fang Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Gold, sand, olive and lime stickers echo the layered palette, while dark or black designs blend with the frame. Placing them on the receiver near the panels keeps the contour drawing on the box visible.
What to look at before you buy
- Look at the float position within the grade, since a low float in Field-Tested or Well-Worn noticeably reduces scratching on the box.
- Inspect the corners and edges of the magazine box first, as they are the most visible part in first-person view and wear earliest.
- Check the stock edges and receiver panels for paint loss on worn copies.
- Note any applied stickers or a name tag, and whether they suit the green palette.
Who should buy Battle-Scarred
- Players who want the lowest-cost entry into this skin.
- Those who prefer a heavily worn, battle-used look.
- The budget option for the rarely used M249 slot.
