Show allAllSkin overview
M249 | O.S.I.P.R. is a dark grey finish with a lighter ammo box and a Combine logo, and in Battle-Scarred it takes on a heavily used appearance. Bare metal shows across many edges and surfaces, while the basic dark-and-grey layout remains readable. It is the cheapest way to get this skin's look.
Item type: machinegun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred
The receiver, top cover and barrel are finished in a deep gunmetal tone close to black, with a faint blue-grey sheen on the flat surfaces. The box magazine under the receiver is a lighter grey and carries small markings and the Combine emblem, making it the brightest part of the gun.
Bare metal covers many edges and surfaces of the receiver, barrel and ammo box. The Combine emblem and markings are heavily faded. In game the gun reads as patchy grey rather than solid dark. Only the more sheltered areas such as the stock and grip keep a noticeable share of paint.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.7
The float of Souvenir M249 | O.S.I.P.R. ranges from 0 to 0.7; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.7 — 36% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The source is Snakebite Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Monochrome, grey, silver or muted blue stickers keep the restrained gunmetal look intact. Placements on the dark receiver let lighter stickers stand out, while dark stickers blend in for a clean service-weapon style.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since low-float copies keep cleaner edges on the receiver and ammo box.
- Look at the Combine emblem and markings on the ammo box in inspect, as they fade on more worn copies.
- Inspect the receiver edges and top rail, which show lighter metal first.
- Note any stickers or name tag already applied and whether they suit the dark finish.
Who should buy Battle-Scarred
- Budget entry for players who just want the O.S.I.P.R. look on their M249.
- Fans of heavily used, patchy finishes.
- The lowest-cost way to own this skin.
