Skin overview

Sage Camo gives the M249 a muted woodland-style pattern in sage, grey and olive with no bright accents. In Field-Tested the camouflage is still clearly readable, while the edges of the receiver and the box magazine start to show lighter scuffs. The worn spots fit the field-equipment look of the finish rather than fighting it.

Item type: machinegun. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver and the top cover are wrapped in a grey-green camouflage with darker olive patches, while the barrel, muzzle and handguard area stay mostly dark grey metal. The box magazine shows the pattern most clearly, with large olive, grey and pale sage blotches across its flat sides.

Scuffs become visible along the edges of the receiver, the top cover and the box magazine. The colours start to look slightly faded on raised parts. In game the camouflage still reads clearly and the wear blends with the muted palette. The middle of the magazine sides and most of the stock stay clean.

Which stickers suit it

Muted olive, khaki, black or matte grey stickers fit the military palette without breaking it. The flat sides of the box magazine and the receiver give the most readable placement. A single brighter accent can work if the rest of the craft stays in earth tones.
