Show allAllSkin overview
This is a plain hydrographic camo on the M249, built from green and grey patches that blend into each other. At Well-Worn the film is visibly rubbed on the edges and raised parts, and the colours look duller overall. The camouflage still reads as camouflage, which keeps this grade usable for players who only want the colour scheme.
Item type: machinegun. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.
Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.
Appearance in Well-Worn
The receiver and the top cover are wrapped in a grey-green camouflage with darker olive patches, while the barrel, muzzle and handguard area stay mostly dark grey metal. The box magazine shows the pattern most clearly, with large olive, grey and pale sage blotches across its flat sides.
The film is rubbed off on most edges and raised parts, and scratches reach into the flat areas of the receiver and box magazine. The overall tone looks duller and less contrasting. In game the gun reads as clearly used, though the green-grey scheme remains recognisable. The stock keeps more of its pattern than the front parts.
Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45
The float of Souvenir M249 | Sage Camo ranges from 0 to 0.6; the Well-Worn quality covers 0.38–0.45 — 12% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
Souvenir M249 | Sage Camo belongs to The Boreal Collection, which holds 29 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Muted olive, khaki, black or matte grey stickers fit the military palette without breaking it. The flat sides of the box magazine and the receiver give the most readable placement. A single brighter accent can work if the rest of the craft stays in earth tones.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low float in a grade shows noticeably fewer scuffs.
- Look at the corners of the box magazine and the receiver edges, as these wear first on this finish.
- Souvenir copies come with stickers already applied, so check whether they match the look you want.
- Pattern placement shifts the blotches slightly between copies, so compare the box magazine if the look matters to you.
Who the Well-Worn quality suits
- Budget players who only want the green-grey colour scheme.
- Fans of a used, weathered look on a machinegun.
- An inexpensive way to give the M249 a skin without caring about scratches.
