Skin overview

Spectre covers the receiver, box magazine and stock in a light, marbled finish, while the dark barrel and fittings frame it. In Field-Tested the white areas start to show scuffs along edges and corners, which stand out more than on darker skins. The overall look still reads clearly as white with orange highlights.

Item type: machinegun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver, the side of the top cover and the box magazine are painted in off-white with grey, smoke-like marbling. The front handguard and areas around the feed carry bright orange inserts with dark splatter, plus a small orange ring detail on the side.

Scuffs spread along the magazine box edges, the receiver edges and the raised areas of the stock. The white base begins to look slightly greyed in places, and some scratches reach the orange inserts. At normal distance the scheme is clear, but the wear is more visible than on darker finishes. The middle of the large flat panels still looks fairly clean.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir M249 | Spectre is 0–0.5; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (46% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Chroma 3 Collection with 17 skins in total.

It drops from Chroma 3 Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Orange, black and white stickers match the scheme and sit well on the pale receiver. Monochrome or holo stickers in grey tones keep the clean look, while one orange accent near the front ties into the inserts.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since scuffs are easy to see on the white base.
  • Look at the magazine box corners and receiver edges, as they show wear first.
  • Make sure the orange inserts are not too patchy if the accents matter to you.
  • Confirm whether the offer is a regular, StatTrak™ or Souvenir copy, and check any stickers or name tag.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who want the full colour scheme at a moderate cost.
  • Those who do not mind visible edge scuffs on a light finish.
  • Conclusion: a practical everyday option.
