Skin overview

This M249 is recognisable by its large pale surfaces covered in soft grey streaks, broken up by orange detailing near the front. Minimal Wear keeps almost the same look as the cleanest grade, with only tiny marks that are hard to spot at normal distance. It is a sensible way to get the full white-and-orange scheme while saving over Factory New.

Item type: machinegun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver, the side of the top cover and the box magazine are painted in off-white with grey, smoke-like marbling. The front handguard and areas around the feed carry bright orange inserts with dark splatter, plus a small orange ring detail on the side.

Small marks may appear on the magazine box corners and the sharpest edges of the receiver. The marbled pattern and the orange details remain intact. In game the difference from Factory New is barely visible, and the finish still looks fresh.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Souvenir M249 | Spectre is 0–0.5; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (16% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Chroma 3 Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Chroma 3 Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Orange, black and white stickers match the scheme and sit well on the pale receiver. Monochrome or holo stickers in grey tones keep the clean look, while one orange accent near the front ties into the inserts.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since scuffs are easy to see on the white base.
  • Look at the magazine box corners and receiver edges, as they show wear first.
  • Make sure the orange inserts are not too patchy if the accents matter to you.
  • Confirm whether the offer is a regular, StatTrak™ or Souvenir copy, and check any stickers or name tag.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want a near-clean look for less.
  • Sticker crafts where tiny edge marks do not matter.
  • Conclusion: the balanced choice between look and cost.
