Skin overview

Atomic Alloy in Battle-Scarred is the most affordable way to carry the black and orange anodized scheme on an M4A1-S. The orange is heavily chipped and large areas of the dark finish are worn through to metal. It reads as a rough, hard-used rifle, which some players prefer for its grimy look.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The silencer is dark brown with orange bands near the muzzle end, and the barrel between the silencer and handguard is bright orange. The ribbed handguard and receiver are near-black with orange highlights catching the edges, while the magazine and lower receiver carry light, cracked marbled marks over the dark base.

Large areas of the silencer, handguard and magazine are worn through to metal, and the orange is heavily chipped. The receiver edges and barrel show deep, widespread wear. In game the rifle looks rough, though the black and orange contrast is still visible. Only the flatter, less exposed sections keep a solid colour.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.9

The whole float range of Souvenir M4A1-S | Atomic Alloy is 0–0.9; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.9 segment (50% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir M4A1-S | Atomic Alloy belongs to The Huntsman Collection, which holds 20 skins.

It drops from Huntsman Weapon Case (on sale since Jun 11, 2014).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Orange, black, copper and gold stickers match the anodized scheme without breaking it. Placements on the dark receiver and magazine stand out best against the near-black surface.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since lower floats keep the silencer tip and handguard ribs cleaner.
  • Inspect the silencer end and receiver edges, as chips there are the first sign of wear on this finish.
  • Look at the magazine corners and marbled marks to see how much of the dark base has rubbed off.
  • Note any applied stickers or name tag and decide whether they fit the black and orange scheme.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Players looking for the lowest-cost entry to this M4A1-S skin.
  • Fans of a rough, heavily worn style.
  • In short: a budget entry for those who do not mind exposed metal.
