Souvenir M4A1-S | Cyrex (Field-Tested)

Skin overview

Cyrex is recognised by its red magazine and grip, the red-tipped suppressor and the black-and-white receiver panels on an otherwise dark M4A1-S. In Field-Tested the red blocks remain bold, but light scratches start to appear on the suppressor, the magazine and other protruding parts. In first person the overall scheme still holds together well.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The suppressor is dark grey with a red section near its base carrying small white markings, and the barrel behind it is red up to the black ribbed handguard. The receiver is black with white and red panels and a small white emblem, while the carry handle has a thin red accent.

Scratches become visible on the suppressor body, the base of the magazine and the front of the handguard. The red barrel section and the white receiver panels start to show light scuffing along their edges. In first person the scheme still reads clearly, with wear mostly on the suppressor. The grip and the centre of the receiver graphics stay largely clean.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir M4A1-S | Cyrex is 0–0.5; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (46% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir M4A1-S | Cyrex belongs to The Breakout Collection, which holds 14 skins.

It drops from Operation Breakout Weapon Case (on sale since Jun 23, 2014).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in red, white, black or holographic silver fit the Cyrex scheme best. Placements on the black parts of the receiver and the handguard read cleanly against the dark base without covering the red artwork.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within its wear grade, since lower values keep the suppressor and magazine noticeably cleaner.
• Inspect the suppressor and the bottom of the magazine first, as these parts show wear before the rest of the rifle.
• Look at applied stickers and their condition, because they can clash with the red and white panels.
• Decide whether you want a StatTrak™ or Souvenir version, as both exist for this skin.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

• Players who mainly see the rifle in first person, where the scheme holds up well.
• Buyers looking for a balanced entry into this skin.
• In short, the sensible middle ground.
