Skin overview

The rifle carries a hydrographic of an attacking snake: gold coils over a dark receiver, with the silencer and furniture finished in scaled orange-gold. Minimal Wear keeps the overall look close to a clean copy, with only faint marks that are hard to spot outside inspect. It gives nearly the same view in hand at a lower grade than Factory New.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver is dark, almost black, with a gold snake coiling across its side and the head placed near the magazine well. The silencer is fully covered in an orange-gold scale texture, and the same scaled gold continues on the pistol grip and the stock, which has dark accents.

Small specks may appear on the silencer tip and on the edges of the carry handle. The receiver, the snake and the grip look clean. At normal distance in game it is practically indistinguishable from Factory New. Flaws are mostly visible only in close inspect.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Souvenir M4A1-S | Golden Coil is 0–1; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (8% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Gold, holo-gold and black stickers match the snake artwork, while orange or amber tones blend with the silencer and stock. Placing stickers on the dark receiver keeps them readable without covering the snake's head.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low float keeps the silencer gold noticeably cleaner.
• Inspect the silencer tip, carry handle and front sight, as these parts lose gold first.
• Look at applied stickers and their scrape level, because they change how the receiver reads.
• Check for a name tag and StatTrak™ or Souvenir versions if they matter to you.
