Souvenir M4A1-S | Hyper Beast (Field-Tested)

Skin overview

This M4A1-S finish is built around a neon creature whose pink and red body runs from the handguard down to the magazine, outlined in blue and green. In Field-Tested the overall design is still easy to read, though scratches begin to show on the edges of the handguard and magazine. It is the grade where the look stays bold while the price of entry drops.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The handguard is covered in ribbed, scale-like segments in pink, red and blue with green highlights, and the same body continues across the receiver, where a toothed beast face sits above the magazine well. The magazine and grip carry the creature's pink and red flesh with teal and green accents, while the carry handle shows a small red and green detail resembling an eye.

Field-Tested brings noticeable scratches along the handguard ridges and on the magazine edges, with lighter scuffs starting on the receiver edges and the stock. The beast face is still readable, though fine linework loses some sharpness. In game the design reads clearly, and the wear shows mostly in the first-person view of the handguard. The centre of the receiver and the carry handle detail stay largely clean.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The float of Souvenir M4A1-S | Hyper Beast ranges from 0 to 1; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 23% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir M4A1-S | Hyper Beast belongs to The Chroma 2 Collection, which holds 15 skins.

It drops from Chroma 2 Case (on sale since Apr 15, 2015).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Holo and foil stickers in pink, blue or green echo the neon palette and blend well with the artwork. Placing them on the dark silencer-side of the receiver or near the stock keeps the beast face and handguard scales visible.

What to check before buying

• Look at where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low float in Field-Tested or Well-Worn keeps noticeably more of the handguard scales.
• Inspect the handguard ridges and magazine edges first, as these are where the paint goes before anything else.
• Check whether the copy is a StatTrak™ version if you want a kill counter, and confirm any applied stickers or name tag in the inspect view.

Who should buy Field-Tested

• Players who want a bold, recognisable M4A1-S for everyday matches.
• Buyers looking for a mid-range entry who can pick a low float within the grade.
• The practical pick for playing with this skin.
