Souvenir M4A1-S | Hyper Beast (Well-Worn)

Skin overview

Hyper Beast is recognisable even on a tired copy: the clash of hot pink, deep blue and acid green is hard to mistake for anything else. In Well-Worn the paint is visibly scraped on the raised parts, and grey metal shows through along the handguard ridges and the magazine. The colours still carry at a distance, giving the rifle a rough, used character.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Well-Worn

The handguard is covered in ribbed, scale-like segments in pink, red and blue with green highlights, and the same body continues across the receiver, where a toothed beast face sits above the magazine well. The magazine and grip carry the creature's pink and red flesh with teal and green accents, while the carry handle shows a small red and green detail resembling an eye.

In Well-Worn the handguard has large scraped areas where grey metal breaks up the scales, and the magazine is worn at the bottom and along its sides. Scratches spread onto the receiver, reaching the edges of the beast face, and the end of the stock is rubbed down. The colours look duller overall, though the pink and blue still read in game. Only the middle of the receiver keeps most of its detail.

Well-Worn quality — float range 0.38–0.45

The float of Souvenir M4A1-S | Hyper Beast ranges from 0 to 1; the Well-Worn quality covers 0.38–0.45 — 7% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir M4A1-S | Hyper Beast belongs to The Chroma 2 Collection, which holds 15 skins.

It drops from Chroma 2 Case (on sale since Apr 15, 2015).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Holo and foil stickers in pink, blue or green echo the neon palette and blend well with the artwork. Placing them on the dark silencer-side of the receiver or near the stock keeps the beast face and handguard scales visible.

What to look at before you buy

• Look at where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low float in Field-Tested or Well-Worn keeps noticeably more of the handguard scales.
• Inspect the handguard ridges and magazine edges first, as these are where the paint goes before anything else.
• Check whether the copy is a StatTrak™ version if you want a kill counter, and confirm any applied stickers or name tag in the inspect view.

Who should buy Well-Worn

• Budget-minded players who care more about colours at distance than about close-up detail.
• Fans of a used, rough look on bright artwork.
• An affordable option that still looks like Hyper Beast in a match.
