M4A4 | Aeolian Dark is an Industrial Grade rifle finish with a grayscale, abstract knot pattern over a pale grey base. In Factory New the dark knotted lines stay sharp and the light base looks even, so the weave reads clearly from barrel to stock.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.
Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
Appearance in Factory New
The finish covers the handguard, upper and lower receiver and the stock with an off-white base crossed by dark grey and black knotted lines. The pattern is densest on the receiver and handguard, where the lines form an abstract, interwoven weave.
The coating is intact on every part, including the magazine edges and the front of the handguard. The dark lines are crisp and the pale base looks clean and uniform. In game the rifle reads as a bright, light grey weapon with a fine dark weave. The plain grey magazine and grip look smooth and unmarked.
Factory New wear: float 0–0.07
The whole float range of Souvenir M4A4 | Aeolian Dark is 0–0.65; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (11% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Achroma Collection with 20 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
What it costs in each quality
Among 7 skins of the M4A4 in the Industrial Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 4th by price, counting from the dearest.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Monochrome, holo silver or black-and-white stickers keep the grayscale look intact. A single accent colour such as red or teal placed on the receiver stands out well against the pale base. Busy, multicoloured stickers tend to clash with the dense knot pattern.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since lower values keep the pale base and magazine edges cleaner.
- Inspect the magazine edges and the front of the handguard, as these lose the light coating first.
- Look at the receiver closely, because that is where the knot pattern is densest and most visible in hand.
- If you consider a Souvenir copy, view its applied stickers in inspect, as they cannot be removed without scraping.
Who the Factory New quality suits
- Players who want the cleanest light grey M4A4 with a sharp dark pattern.
- Sticker crafters who need an even, pale base for a monochrome build.
- Collectors who prefer every edge intact.
- The grade for those who value the pattern at its crispest.
