Skin overview

The hunting camo on this M4A4 is a photographic hydrographic, so its look depends on how much of the printed foliage survives. At Well-Worn large areas of the print are scratched through, leaving patches of plain dark base between faded leaves and dulled orange accents. The result is a rough field rifle look rather than a crisp camo.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

How the skin looks in Well-Worn

The receiver and lower carry the main photographic camo: pale grey-green leaves and twigs, tan bark tones and bright orange streaks over dark gaps. The ribbed handguard stays mostly plain dark grey, while the barrel section near it picks up a lighter camo band.

Wear spreads from the edges onto the flat panels of the receiver, magazine and stock, leaving patches of bare base. The leaves look washed out and the orange streaks break into fragments. In game the rifle reads darker and more uneven, with the pattern less legible. Recessed areas still hold most of the print.

The skin’s collection is The Militia Collection with 11 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Muted stickers in olive, tan, brown or orange blend with the hunting camo and keep the rifle coherent. Gold or holo stickers with warm tones echo the orange streaks, while bright blue or pink designs tend to clash with the woodland palette.

• Check where the float sits within its wear range, since copies at the clean end of a grade look noticeably better.
• Look at the edges of the magazine and the stock, as these are the first places where the print wears off.
• Inspect the receiver to see how much of the orange highlights remain clear.
