Skin overview

Battle-Scarred turns the clean illustration into a heavily scratched version of the same artwork, with large bare patches on the magazine, edges and receiver. The magenta and blue still mark the skin as Neo-Noir, but the character's details are broken up by wear. It suits a buyer who wants this design as a worn, used-looking rifle.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The receiver carries the central figure: a woman with bright pink hair and blue highlights, drawn with thick black outlines over a gray-and-white background. The handguard is covered in white and pale gray panels with black ink shading, while the barrel and muzzle stay dark with a touch of blue and pink near the front.

Large patches of bare metal cover the magazine, the handguard edges and much of the stock. The central portrait is heavily scratched, with parts of the hair and outlines lost. In first-person view the weapon looks rough, though the palette is still recognisable. Only the more protected areas keep solid colour.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.9

The whole float range of Souvenir M4A4 | Neo-Noir is 0–0.9; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.9 segment (50% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Clutch Collection with 17 skins in total.

It drops from Clutch Case.

What it costs in each quality

Taking Battle-Scarred as the baseline:

Based on the cheapest SkinOut.gg listing of each quality, otherwise on the market reference.

Among 6 skins of the M4A4 in the Covert grade and this quality, this skin ranks 4th by price, counting from the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Pink, magenta, cyan and holographic stickers match the palette of the artwork. Black-and-white or monochrome stickers work on the handguard and stock without competing with the portrait. Placements over the central figure on the receiver tend to hide the main part of the design.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the grade, since a cleaner float keeps the receiver portrait and handguard edges in better condition.
  • Look at the magazine and the handguard edges on the inspect view, as they lose paint first on this skin.
  • On worn grades make sure the character's face on the receiver is not scratched through.
  • Check applied stickers and name tag, because they change how the artwork is framed.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Budget entry for players who want this skin at the lowest step.
  • Those who like a rough, used look on a bright design.
  • The entry point to Neo-Noir with heavy wear.
