Skin overview

Steel Work is a utilitarian finish: worn metal on the body, red ribbons across the receiver and red furniture on the magazine and grip. Well-Worn copies show noticeably faded red and chipped yellow on the handguard. The look turns rougher and more workshop-like, which suits the idea of the skin.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Well-Worn

The receiver, barrel and stock are covered in a grey-brown steel finish with a deliberately worn, uneven texture. Red ribbons run across the upper receiver, and the magazine and pistol grip are painted a matching red.

The red on the magazine and grip is clearly patchy, with bare areas on the edges and ribs. The yellow handguard band is chipped along its length, and the red ribbons on the receiver are partly worn through. In game the rifle looks noticeably used, though the colour scheme is still readable. The steel base and stock keep their general look.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45

The whole float range of Souvenir M4A4 | Steel Work is 0–0.7; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (10% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir M4A4 | Steel Work belongs to The Radiant Collection, which holds 28 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Red, yellow and black stickers echo the magazine, grip and hazard band, and metallic or holo stickers in silver or gold tones suit the steel base. Placing them on the receiver near the red ribbons keeps the craft tied to the artwork.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, as the red magazine and grip change most between copies of the same grade.
  • Look at the corners of the yellow handguard band, which show chipping earlier than the steel parts.
  • Do not judge condition by the steel texture alone, because the worn look of the metal is part of the design.
  • On souvenir copies, check that the pre-applied stickers suit the red and yellow accents.

Who the Well-Worn quality suits

  • Budget buyers who want this finish at a low entry point.
  • Players who prefer a rougher, workshop-style rifle.
  • Conclusion: suits those who value the theme over clean paint.
