M4A4 | Steel Work combines a steel base with red ribbons, a red magazine, a red grip and a yellow hazard band on the handguard. In Battle-Scarred the paint on the magazine, grip and handguard is heavily chipped, and the red ribbons on the receiver are largely broken up. The rifle reads as a scuffed tool, and the steel base hides much of the damage.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The receiver, barrel and stock are covered in a grey-brown steel finish with a deliberately worn, uneven texture. Red ribbons run across the upper receiver, and the magazine and pistol grip are painted a matching red.
Large parts of the red paint on the magazine and grip are gone, and the yellow handguard band is heavily broken up. The red ribbons on the receiver survive only as fragments. In game the rifle reads mostly as rough steel with faded red patches. The stock changes least, since its finish is already styled as worn metal.
Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.7
The whole float range of Souvenir M4A4 | Steel Work is 0–0.7; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.7 segment (36% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir M4A4 | Steel Work belongs to The Radiant Collection, which holds 28 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
What it costs in each quality
Among 7 skins of the M4A4 in the Industrial Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 4th by price, counting from the dearest.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Red, yellow and black stickers echo the magazine, grip and hazard band, and metallic or holo stickers in silver or gold tones suit the steel base. Placing them on the receiver near the red ribbons keeps the craft tied to the artwork.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, as the red magazine and grip change most between copies of the same grade.
- Look at the corners of the yellow handguard band, which show chipping earlier than the steel parts.
- Do not judge condition by the steel texture alone, because the worn look of the metal is part of the design.
- On souvenir copies, check that the pre-applied stickers suit the red and yellow accents.
Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits
- Players who want the cheapest way to replace the default M4A4.
- Fans of heavily scuffed finishes where the steel base comes forward.
- Conclusion: a budget pick with a deliberately battered look.
