Souvenir M4A4 | X-Ray (Factory New)

Skin overview

M4A4 | X-Ray is a Covert custom paint job that makes the rifle look like a scan of itself, with the internal parts showing through a muted grey and lavender shell. In Factory New the bluish highlights stay crisp, and the outlines of the cartridges, bolt and buffer spring read cleanly. This is the grade for a buyer who wants the scan effect exactly as designed.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear and Field-Tested. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The whole rifle is painted in a monochrome scan style of grey, muted lavender and cool blue, with lighter glowing areas where internal parts show through. The magazine looks translucent, revealing the stacked cartridges and the spring, and the pistol grip carries a pale glow.

The paint is intact on every part, including the sharp edges of the rails and the magazine. The glowing outlines of the internals and the blue highlights keep full contrast. In game the scan effect looks exactly as on the preview. Nothing on the rifle shows scratches.

Factory New wear: float 0–0.07

The whole float range of Souvenir M4A4 | X-Ray is 0–0.3; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (23% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir M4A4 | X-Ray belongs to The eSports 2013 Winter Collection, which holds 12 skins.

It drops from eSports 2013 Winter Case (on sale since Jul 9, 2014).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Holo and foil stickers in silver, white, blue or violet blend with the scan palette. Placing them on the receiver side keeps the translucent magazine visible. Warm, bright colours tend to break the cold monochrome look.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the grade, since the magazine edges show the difference first.
• Look at the magazine and handguard rails in the inspect view on Field-Tested copies.
• Note any applied stickers and a name tag, as they change how the clean scan look reads.
• Decide between regular, StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions before comparing offers.

Who the Factory New quality suits

• Collectors who want the scan effect with full contrast.
• Players planning a clean sticker craft.
• Conclusion: the reference grade for the X-Ray look.
