Skin overview

MAC-10 | Hot Snakes is a Classified SMG finish that covers the gun in bronze snakeskin. Copper ribs run along the top of the receiver, and a coiled snake sits beneath the wire form butt. In Factory New the scales stay crisp and the copper parts keep their full shine, so every detail of the reptile texture can be read.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Factory New

The receiver and barrel shroud are covered in a dark olive and gold snakeskin with clearly outlined scales. Two raised copper ribs run along the top of the receiver, and the trigger guard and sling strap are in the same copper tone.

The finish is complete on every part of the gun. The scales on the receiver and grip have sharp outlines, and the copper ribs and magazine keep their even shine. In game the gun looks clean and saturated from any angle.

Factory New quality — float range 0–0.07

The float of Souvenir MAC-10 | Hot Snakes ranges from 0 to 1; the Factory New quality covers 0–0.07 — 7% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir MAC-10 | Hot Snakes belongs to The Havoc Collection, which holds 19 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Gold, bronze and copper stickers blend with the warm snakeskin, while dark green or black ones echo the olive scales. Placements along the receiver side keep the copper ribs on top uncovered.

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the copper ribs on top of the receiver are visible in first person and show wear early.
• Look at the bottom of the magazine and the muzzle on screenshots, as these spots lose paint first.
