Skin overview

The snakeskin finish relies on dense scales in olive, gold and bronze tones rather than a single large image, which makes it forgiving of light wear. In Minimal Wear the overall look matches a factory-fresh copy at normal viewing distance. Any marks are tiny and sit on the edges of the gun.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver and barrel shroud are covered in a dark olive and gold snakeskin with clearly outlined scales. Two raised copper ribs run along the top of the receiver, and the trigger guard and sling strap are in the same copper tone.

Light specks can appear on the copper ribs and on the lower edge of the magazine. The receiver, grip and barrel shroud stay practically untouched. At normal distance in game it is hard to tell apart from Factory New.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The float of Souvenir MAC-10 | Hot Snakes ranges from 0 to 1; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.15 — 8% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Havoc Collection with 19 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Gold, bronze and copper stickers blend with the warm snakeskin, while dark green or black ones echo the olive scales. Placements along the receiver side keep the copper ribs on top uncovered.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the copper ribs on top of the receiver are visible in first person and show wear early.
• Look at the bottom of the magazine and the muzzle on screenshots, as these spots lose paint first.
• On Souvenir copies, check the preset stickers and whether they suit the bronze finish.
• Review any applied stickers and name tag, because they stay with the item.
