Skin overview

MAC-10 | Storm Camo pairs a slate and blue-grey camouflage with a blue magazine, a combination built for a plain military look. In Battle-Scarred much of the paint on edges and raised parts is gone, yet the float range of this skin stops short of the extreme, so the camo is still readable on the flat surfaces. The result is a heavily used but still recognisable gun.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver is covered in a hydrographic camouflage of dark slate grey with lighter blue-grey and pale grey patches with soft, cloudy edges. The same pattern continues onto the grip, while the magazine is finished in a solid blue with a slight metallic sheen.

Edges, corners, the grip front and the magazine show large areas of bare metal, and the blue of the magazine is heavily scuffed. The top cover and the muzzle are worn the most. Because the skin's float range ends before the maximum, the flat sides of the receiver still keep part of the camo. In game the gun looks rough and battered but still reads as Storm Camo.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.637

The float of Souvenir MAC-10 | Storm Camo ranges from 0 to 0.637; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.637 — 29% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Ascent Collection with 28 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Price by quality

Among 8 skins of the MAC-10 in the Consumer Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 3rd by price, counting from the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrakā„¢. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in blue, grey, white or silver tones sit naturally on the receiver side next to the cool camo. A single darker or holographic blue sticker can add an accent without clashing with the blue magazine.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low-float copy of a grade looks noticeably cleaner on the receiver edges.
  • Look at the magazine edges and the front of the grip, as these lose paint first.
  • The camo is a simple repeating pattern, so placement differences between copies matter little.
  • On Souvenir copies, check the condition and position of the applied stickers.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Players who want the most battered version that still keeps the camo readable.
  • The cheapest way to put this finish on a MAC-10.
  • Conclusion: for those who value a worn character over cleanliness.
