Skin overview

The Tornado finish relies on colour alone, with no pattern, so a few tiny marks change little about how it looks. In Minimal Wear the tan receiver and blue-grey grip and magazine look practically the same as a fresh copy at normal viewing distance. It is a way to get the clean look of the skin at a lower grade.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver, including the top with its raised ribs and the side panels, is painted a flat sandy tan. The trigger guard, grip, magazine, folding wire stock and sling are a uniform blue-grey, and the short barrel tip is a darker grey.

Only tiny specks may appear on the sharpest edges, such as the receiver corners or the muzzle. They are hard to spot without inspecting the model closely. At normal distance the finish looks the same as Factory New. The grip, magazine faces and side panels remain clean.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The float of Souvenir MAC-10 | Tornado ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.15 — 11% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir MAC-10 | Tornado belongs to The Militia Collection, which holds 11 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

The plain tan receiver works as a calm background for stickers in blue, grey or white that echo the lower parts. Warm sand, brown or muted orange stickers blend in for a tone-on-tone look, while placing them along the receiver side keeps the two-colour split readable.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since chipping on the tan receiver is the most visible sign of wear.
• Inspect the receiver corners, ribs and muzzle, as these lose paint first.
• Pattern does not matter for this solid colour finish, so compare copies by float and condition only.
• Souvenir copies come with stickers already applied, so check whether you like them before buying.
