Skin overview

Battle-Scarred is the most worn version of the fish-and-mouth design, with heavy scratches across the upper, the shroud and the magazine. Many small fish lose detail, leaving patches of orange on a dark, chipped body. What remains is a rough, almost sketch-like take on the drawing that some players prefer.

Item type: shotgun. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The upper receiver, top rail and barrel shroud are painted solid orange-red, while the barrel tip and the rear sight stay black. The lower receiver, the round front grip and the pistol grip are dark grey, and the side of the body carries the main drawing: a face with an open mouth and orange fish with thin light outlines swimming towards it.

Heavy scratches cover the upper, the shroud, the grips and the magazine. Many fish turn into orange spots and the outlines are largely gone. In game the skin reads as a chipped orange-and-black shotgun rather than a detailed drawing. Only parts of the central motif keep their shape.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Black, white and orange stickers match the palette and keep the craft calm. Placements on the dark lower body work best as long as they do not cover the face with the open mouth. Sea or fish themed stickers echo the artwork well.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits inside its wear grade, since the edges of the orange upper show the difference first.
• Look at the shroud and muzzle area on the inspect screen, as these parts lose paint early.
• On worn copies make sure the face and the fish on the side of the body are still readable.
• Note any applied stickers or name tag, and remember that StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions exist.
