Skin overview

Gauss gives the MP5-SD a mechanical, panel-built look with copper accents on the magazine, grip and stock. In Well-Worn the copper stripes are noticeably chipped and the silencer and receiver edges show bare spots, yet the dark base keeps the overall silhouette intact. It reads as a rough workshop version of the design.

Item type: smg. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Well-Worn

The receiver and handguard are painted in dark graphite gunmetal with fine engraved grooves and panel lines that imitate stamped steel plates. The integrated silencer carries the same dark tone with a ribbed, vented front section and thin teal and copper accents along its length.

The copper stripes on the magazine and grip are chipped along most ribs, and the stock end loses part of its colour. The silencer front and receiver edges show broad worn areas. In game the copper reads duller and patchier, while the dark body keeps the weapon recognisable. The handguard grooves still hold some of their texture.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45

The float of Souvenir MP5-SD | Gauss ranges from 0 to 1; the Well-Worn quality covers 0.38–0.45 — 7% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir MP5-SD | Gauss belongs to The Prisma Collection, which holds 17 skins.

It drops from Prisma Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Copper, orange, gold and teal stickers match the existing accents, while holo or foil stickers in warm tones echo the metallic look. The flat dark side of the receiver above the grip is the cleanest spot for placement.

What to check before buying

  • Look at the ribs of the magazine and the grip in the inspect view, since the copper there shows wear first.
  • Check the silencer tip and the upper receiver edges for rubbed spots, especially near the top of a wear range.
  • Compare float positions within the same wear, because a low float in Field-Tested can look close to Minimal Wear.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they change how the clean dark receiver reads.

Who should buy Well-Worn

  • Players on a budget who still want the copper-and-graphite look.
  • Fans of rough workshop-style finishes.
  • In short: an affordable way to carry the skin with visible character.
