Skin overview

Nitro reads as a dark SMG with bright orange accents on the grip, trigger area, stock and upper receiver. In Field-Tested the orange starts to lose paint on edges and corners, giving the weapon a used, workshop look. The colour split stays clearly visible, so the skin is still recognisable at a glance.

Item type: smg. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The integrated suppressor, barrel and magazine are dark grey to black, with the ribbed section of the suppressor keeping its texture. A tangerine orange strip runs along the upper side of the receiver, while the pistol grip, trigger guard area and stock butt pad are painted solid orange.

Paint chips become visible on the edges of the grip, the stock pad and along the receiver strip. The dark parts pick up light scratches, mostly on the magazine edges and the front of the suppressor. In game the wear shows as a slightly rough outline on the orange blocks. The central areas of the orange parts still look solid.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir MP5-SD | Nitro is 0.06–0.8; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (31% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir MP5-SD | Nitro belongs to The Control Collection, which holds 19 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

What it costs in each quality

Among 5 skins of the MP5-SD in the Industrial Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Black, orange and white stickers match the two-tone scheme without competing with it. Placements on the dark receiver or suppressor let the orange parts stay the main accent, while a single orange sticker can echo the receiver strip.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check the float position within the grade, since the edges of the orange grip and stock pad show wear earliest.
  • Look at the receiver strip in the inspect view, because chips there break the line that defines the skin.
  • Souvenir copies exist, so check whether the item carries stickers and whether they suit your plans.
  • Pattern does not matter for this solid colour finish, so compare copies by float and applied stickers or name tag.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who like the colour scheme and do not mind light edge wear.
  • Buyers who want a recognisable look while keeping costs down.
  • Conclusion: a practical everyday choice with the design still clearly visible.
