Show allAllSkin overview
In Battle-Scarred the red finish is broken up by large patches of bare metal, especially along the long suppressor. The X pattern survives only in fragments, giving the skin a weathered, rusty-looking red. It is the cheapest way to put a red MP5-SD in your hands.
Item type: smg. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.
Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The suppressor, ribbed handguard, receiver, pistol grip and stock end are all painted red, with a pale pinkish rim at the muzzle. Over the receiver, grip and suppressor runs a mottled pattern of offset X's in lighter and darker reds, which gives the surface a fabric-like check.
Large areas of bare metal cover the suppressor, the handguard and the receiver edges. The grip and stock show heavy wear, and the X pattern remains only in fragments. In game the red looks patchy and weathered. The black magazine looks the same as on cleaner copies.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.75
The float of Souvenir MP5-SD | Picnic ranges from 0 to 0.75; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.75 — 40% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
Souvenir MP5-SD | Picnic belongs to The Harlequin Collection, which holds 19 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Price by quality
By price this skin is 3rd of 4 skins Industrial Grade MP5-SD in this quality (the first being the dearest).
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Red, white and black stickers suit the monochrome red finish and continue the tablecloth theme. Placements on the receiver side above the magazine and on the flat part of the suppressor are visible from the first-person view.
What to check before buying
- Look at the float within the wear range, since copies near the top of a grade show noticeably cleaner suppressor edges.
- Inspect the muzzle rim and handguard ribs, as these are the first places where the red wears through.
- Souvenir copies come with stickers already applied, so check whether they fit the red finish.
- Check for a name tag if you want the original item name.
Who should buy Battle-Scarred
- Budget entry for anyone who wants this skin in their inventory.
- Fans of a heavily weathered, rough finish.
- The cheapest way to own Picnic.
