MP7 | Olive Plaid in Battle-Scarred keeps its beige and olive palette, but the hydrographic print is broken up by large scratched areas. Because the float range ends early, this grade does not reach the heaviest damage possible on other skins, and the plaid is still traceable on the larger panels. It is the roughest, most weathered version of a modest camouflage-style finish.
Item type: smg. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.
Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The receiver, upper rail and stock are covered in a beige base crossed by wide diagonal olive bands that form a plaid, with fine hatched lines giving the surface a fabric-like texture. The front vertical grip and the pistol grip carry the same print in darker olive and brown tones, while the magazine is a plain olive green.
Large scratched areas cover the rail, the muzzle, the magazine and the edges of the stock and grips, and the print is broken on the receiver as well. The hatching is mostly gone on exposed parts, leaving patchy beige and olive fragments. Since the range ends early, the plaid is not erased completely and still shows on the larger panels. In game the gun looks heavily weathered but keeps its earthy colours.
Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.58
The float of Souvenir MP7 | Olive Plaid ranges from 0 to 0.58; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.58 — 22% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
Souvenir MP7 | Olive Plaid belongs to The Baggage Collection, which holds 15 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Stickers in olive, brown, tan or muted gold sit naturally on the beige plaid and keep the military look. Placing them on the flat side of the receiver or the stock keeps the plaid visible around them. A single dark or black-and-white sticker can add contrast without fighting the earthy palette.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a lower value keeps the rail and muzzle edges cleaner.
- Look at the top rail, muzzle end and magazine base, as these are the first places where grey metal shows.
- On Souvenir copies, look at which stickers come applied, because they change the look of the plain finish.
- Check for stickers or a name tag added by a previous owner and decide whether they fit your plans.
Who should buy Battle-Scarred
- Budget entry for anyone who simply wants a skin on the MP7.
- Players who prefer a rough, weathered look on an earthy finish.
- The cheapest way to own this plaid, with the pattern still traceable.
