Show allAllSkin overview
Goo turns the MP9 into a dark grey weapon broken up by pale, rounded windows of the base colour, a look that stays readable even from a distance. In Field-Tested the light patches start to collect grime and scuffs, which softens the contrast but adds a used, gritty feel. It is a practical middle grade for players who want the pattern without paying for a clean finish.
Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The receiver and top rail are covered in dark grey to near-black goo, with irregular rounded openings revealing a pale bluish-grey base underneath. The same pattern continues along the folding stock arm, while the buttpad stays plain dark grey.
The pale openings on the receiver start to look slightly grimy, and scratches spread along the muzzle, the top rail and the receiver edges. The goo outlines are a little softer than on cleaner grades. In game the pattern is still clearly visible, with somewhat lower contrast. The lower grips and buttpad still look fairly tidy.
Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of Souvenir MP9 | Goo is 0–0.6; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (38% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir MP9 | Goo belongs to The Spectrum 2 Collection, which holds 17 skins.
The source is Spectrum 2 Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Black, white, silver and pale blue stickers blend well with the goo and the bluish-grey base. Holo or foil stickers in cool tones add accent without fighting the pattern, while a single bright colour such as teal can work as a deliberate contrast on the receiver.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the chosen wear, since the pale base areas show dirt early and a lower float keeps them noticeably brighter.
- Look at the muzzle, the top rail and the receiver edges in the inspect view, as these parts wear first.
- Compare how the pale openings fall on the receiver, because a cleaner, more balanced spread reads better in game.
- See whether stickers or a name tag are applied and whether they suit the dark and pale grey scheme.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who want the Goo pattern clearly visible for everyday use.
- Buyers who like a slightly grimy, used look on a dark weapon.
- A practical middle option for regular play.
