Souvenir MP9 | Hypnotic (Factory New)

Skin overview

MP9 | Hypnotic covers the SMG in a pearl base with black stencilled stripes that curve in concentric arcs, creating a dizzying optical effect. In Factory New the pearl coat keeps its soft sheen and the black lines stay crisp along every curve. This is the grade for buyers who want the contrast exactly as the stencil laid it down.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Anodized Airbrushed: a coloured coating with an airbrushed design on top; the coating holds while the design fades with wear.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Factory New

The receiver and upper body carry a pearl silver base crossed by thick black stripes that bend in wide concentric arcs, so the pattern seems to spiral across the side of the gun. The same striping continues over the pistol grip and the front vertical grip, where the lines follow the ribbed polymer surface.

Factory New copies show a clean pearl coat with no visible scratches on the receiver, grips or rail. The black stripes keep sharp borders where they meet the pale base. At any in-game distance the gun reads as fresh, with the full contrast of the pattern. Lower floats within the range look identical in practice.

Factory New quality — float range 0–0.07

The whole float range of Souvenir MP9 | Hypnotic is 0–0.08; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (88% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir MP9 | Hypnotic belongs to The Arms Deal 2 Collection, which holds 12 skins.

It drops from CS:GO Weapon Case 2 (on sale since Sep 20, 2013).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Black, white, silver and holographic stickers keep the monochrome look and blend with the stripes. A single bright red or gold sticker on the receiver works as an accent against the pearl and black pattern.

What to check before buying

• Compare the float within the narrow range, since Minimal Wear copies sit close to Factory New and the difference is mostly on edges.
• Inspect the top rail and the front of the vertical grip, as these show the first marks.
• Check applied stickers and name tags, which can change how the striped receiver reads.
• Decide whether you want a StatTrak™ copy before comparing offers.

Who the Factory New quality suits

• Collectors who want the sharpest version of the black and pearl pattern.
• Sticker crafters building a clean monochrome loadout.
• A choice for those who value a flawless finish.
