Souvenir MP9 | Hypnotic (Minimal Wear)

Skin overview

In Minimal Wear, MP9 | Hypnotic still shows its full pattern of black arcs rippling across a pale pearl body. Any marks are small and sit on edges rather than across the stripes, so the hypnotic effect is untouched in normal play. It is a way to own the same look with a slightly more forgiving finish grade.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Anodized Airbrushed: a coloured coating with an airbrushed design on top; the coating holds while the design fades with wear.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver and upper body carry a pearl silver base crossed by thick black stripes that bend in wide concentric arcs, so the pattern seems to spiral across the side of the gun. The same striping continues over the pistol grip and the front vertical grip, where the lines follow the ribbed polymer surface.

Minimal Wear sits at the very top of this skin's float range, so wear stays light. Small scuffs may appear on the top rail, the front edge of the vertical grip and the magazine base, where the dark coating shows through the pearl. The stripes across the receiver and pistol grip remain intact. In game at normal distance it is hard to tell apart from Factory New.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.08

The float of Souvenir MP9 | Hypnotic ranges from 0 to 0.08; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.08 — 12% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Arms Deal 2 Collection with 12 skins in total.

It drops from CS:GO Weapon Case 2 (on sale since Sep 20, 2013).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Black, white, silver and holographic stickers keep the monochrome look and blend with the stripes. A single bright red or gold sticker on the receiver works as an accent against the pearl and black pattern.

What to look at before you buy

• Compare the float within the narrow range, since Minimal Wear copies sit close to Factory New and the difference is mostly on edges.
• Inspect the top rail and the front of the vertical grip, as these show the first marks.
• Check applied stickers and name tags, which can change how the striped receiver reads.
• Decide whether you want a StatTrak™ copy before comparing offers.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

• Players who want the same look in game without paying for the top grade.
• Buyers who do not mind small marks on the rail and grip edges.
• A sensible entry to the skin with little visual compromise.
