This Restricted MP9 finish is recognisable by its soft pastel sky, the snow-capped peak and the bright red disc of the rising sun. At Minimal Wear the painting looks practically intact, with only tiny marks that are hard to spot outside the inspect view. It keeps nearly the full look of a clean copy at a lower grade.
Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Anodized Airbrushed: a coloured coating with an airbrushed design on top; the coating holds while the design fades with wear.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Minimal Wear
The receiver is painted in pale pink and teal, with Mount Fuji drawn in fine lines and a large red sun on its side, near the rear of the body. Thin horizontal strokes and small cloud and wave motifs run across the upper part of the weapon, giving it a printed, illustrated feel.
Small specks can appear on the top rail and the sharpest edges of the receiver, mostly visible only in inspect. The gradients and the line work stay clean. In the first-person view the skin is hard to tell from Factory New. The sun, the mountain and the grips remain untouched.
Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15
The float of Souvenir MP9 | Mount Fuji ranges from 0 to 0.55; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.15 — 15% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
The skin’s collection is The Operation Riptide Collection with 17 skins in total.
It drops from Operation Riptide Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Pastel pink, teal and red stickers match the palette, and Japanese-themed or minimal designs fit the painting best. Placing stickers away from the red sun keeps the main motif visible, while the darker area toward the stock tolerates bolder colours.
What to check before buying
- Inspect the pattern, since the placement of the red sun and the mountain differs between copies.
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, as a low float in a grade keeps the edges and grips noticeably cleaner.
- Look at the top rail and the front of the grips, because these parts lose paint first.
- Check applied stickers and name tags, since they change how the receiver painting reads.
Who the Minimal Wear quality suits
- Players who want a near-clean look in first person without paying for the top grade.
- Collectors who accept tiny marks visible only in inspect.
- A sensible choice if the clean look matters more than the label.
