Skin overview

Sand Dashed turns the MP9 into a dusty field weapon, with tan spray paint and short stencilled strokes of olive and brown. In Field-Tested the paint starts to thin on the edges of the receiver, magazine and grips, which suits the improvised spray-paint look. The dashes are still clearly readable on the flat surfaces.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The whole weapon is sprayed in a light sandy tan, from the ribbed receiver and top rail to the foregrip, pistol grip and long magazine. Over the base sit short, angled dashes in olive and brown, applied through pieces of tape, so each mark has straight cut edges and a slightly soft spray halo.

Wear becomes visible on the ribs of the grips, the bottom of the magazine and the front edges of the receiver, where the tan thins and darker material shows. The dashes on the sides of the receiver and stock remain readable. At normal distance the skin still reads as a sand camouflage with a lightly used look. Lower floats in this grade look noticeably cleaner than higher ones.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir MP9 | Sand Dashed is 0.06–0.8; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (31% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in earthy tones, olive, brown, black or matte gold blend with the sand camouflage and keep the military look. A single darker sticker on the side of the receiver stands out well against the light tan base.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the wear grade, because low-float Field-Tested and Well-Worn copies look clearly cleaner than high-float ones.
• Look at the grips and the magazine first, as these are where the paint wears through earliest.
• The pattern placement changes little in appearance, so condition matters more than the pattern seed.
• Souvenir versions exist, so check which stickers are already applied and whether they suit you.
