Skin overview

MP9 | Sand Scale covers the SMG in a cell-like scale pattern of tan and greyish olive, with thin dark lines between the plates. In Factory New the outlines are crisp and the light tan cells look even and bright against the darker patches. This is the cleanest way to see the pattern as it was painted.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Anodized Airbrushed: a coloured coating with an airbrushed design on top; the coating holds while the design fades with wear.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The receiver, the front grip and the pistol grip are covered in a scale pattern of light tan plates and grey-olive patches, each cell separated by a thin dark outline. The pattern wraps the upper rail area and runs down both grips, where the tan tone dominates.

There is no visible wear: the tan and grey cells are uniform and the dark outlines are sharp everywhere. The rail and the top edges of the receiver keep full paint. At normal distance in game the pattern reads clean and slightly brighter than in worn grades.

Factory New quality — float range 0–0.07

The whole float range of Souvenir MP9 | Sand Scale is 0–0.45; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (16% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers in tan, olive, brown or muted gold blend with the scale pattern, while a single dark or holo sticker gives a quiet contrast. Placements on the side of the receiver work best, where the cells are largest.
