MP9 | Sand Scale is a desert-toned scale pattern in tan and grey on a compact SMG, recognisable by its dark cell outlines. In Field-Tested the paint starts to thin on edges and corners, which gives the camo a used, field look that suits its colours. It is a sensible middle point between appearance and cost.
Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Anodized Airbrushed: a coloured coating with an airbrushed design on top; the coating holds while the design fades with wear.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The receiver, the front grip and the pistol grip are covered in a scale pattern of light tan plates and grey-olive patches, each cell separated by a thin dark outline. The pattern wraps the upper rail area and runs down both grips, where the tan tone dominates.
Wear becomes noticeable on the top edges of the receiver, the rail and the front corners, with some thinning on the ribbed parts of the grips. The large flat areas of the receiver sides still show the full scale pattern. At normal distance the skin reads as the same camo with a slightly used surface.
Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38
The float of Souvenir MP9 | Sand Scale ranges from 0 to 0.45; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 51% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
Souvenir MP9 | Sand Scale belongs to The Glove Collection, which holds 17 skins.
It drops from Glove Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Stickers in tan, olive, brown or muted gold blend with the scale pattern, while a single dark or holo sticker gives a quiet contrast. Placements on the side of the receiver work best, where the cells are largest.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, as a low float in a grade keeps the receiver edges cleaner.
- Look at the top of the receiver and the rail in the inspect view, since these are the first places to lose paint.
- Check the grips, where wear on the ribbed parts is easy to miss in screenshots.
- Note any stickers or a name tag already applied, as they change how the camo reads.
Who should buy Field-Tested
- Players who want a full loadout look on a budget.
- Those who like a used field look that fits the desert colours.
- A balanced pick between appearance and cost.
