Show allAllSkin overview
The recognisable part of Spy Prototype is the contrast between dark hardware and the pale panels with schematic lines. In Field-Tested the panels pick up visible scratches and the edges start to lose paint, giving the gun a used prototype feel. From normal distance the colour scheme still reads clearly.
Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The receiver and side panels are painted in a pale blue-grey satin with thin darker blue lines, small markings and a tiny red detail near the ejection area, giving a schematic look. The ribbed handguard, barrel shroud, muzzle and pistol grip stay in dark grey polymer, framing the light panels.
Scratches spread over the satin panels and paint begins to chip on the receiver edges, the magazine base and the stock plate. Some fine lines look interrupted where the scratches cross them. In game the pale-and-dark contrast still reads well. The centre of the side panels usually keeps most of the pattern.
Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38
The float of Souvenir MP9 | Spy Prototype ranges from 0 to 1; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 23% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
Souvenir MP9 | Spy Prototype belongs to The Spy Tech Collection, which holds 17 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Blue, white, silver and black stickers match the schematic palette, and holo or foil in cool tones fits the technical look. A single red accent can echo the small red detail on the receiver. The pale side panels are the best spot for placement, where stickers stand out against the satin.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within its wear, since the pale panels show scratches clearly and a low float in a grade looks noticeably cleaner.
- Inspect the magazine base, the top rail and the stock plate, as these lose paint first.
- Look at whether the thin lines and small markings on the receiver are still readable.
- On souvenir copies, check which stickers are applied and how worn they are.
Who should buy Field-Tested
- Players who want the colour scheme for everyday play.
- Buyers who like a used prototype feel.
- A practical middle option.
