Skin overview

This Negev skin stands out through the contrast between a pale body and a strip of blue and gold running along the top. In Field-Tested the float range of this skin ends early, so copies stay close to the cleaner grade rather than looking heavily used. Light scuffs gather on edges and protruding parts, while the overall blue-and-gold scheme remains easy to recognise.

Item type: machinegun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The barrel and the muzzle area carry the deep metallic blue, and the front and rear sights are finished in the same colour. The top cover and rail of the receiver hold the most detailed part of the artwork: blue panels with fine gold swirls and accents.

Scratches become visible on the muzzle, the sight edges and the corners of the top cover, where bare metal starts to show through the blue. Some gold accents near the edges lose definition, while the centre of the artwork stays readable. The edges of the box magazine and the stock pick up light scuffs. In game the colour section still reads clearly, and the difference from Minimal Wear is mostly noticeable on inspection.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.2

The float of Souvenir Negev | Man-o'-war ranges from 0.1 to 0.2; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.2 — 50% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Chroma 2 Collection with 15 skins in total.

It drops from Chroma 2 Case (on sale since Apr 15, 2015).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Gold, holo-gold and deep blue stickers continue the colour scheme of the top cover. Placements on the light receiver body read best when the stickers stay in blue, gold or neutral tones rather than bright warm colours.

What to look at before you buy

  • Compare the float position within the range, since the lower end of Field-Tested looks close to Minimal Wear.
  • Inspect the muzzle and the sight tips, which lose the blue coating first.
  • Look at the corners of the top cover, where the gold swirls are thinnest.
  • Check stickers and name tag, as they change the look of the light receiver body.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Buyers on a budget who want the same scheme with only light edge wear.
  • Players who use the Negev now and then and care how it reads in game.
  • Those picking a low float that stays visually close to the cleaner grade.
  • A sensible way to get this skin without paying for the cleaner grade.
