Skin overview

Negev | Prototype is recognised by its white-and-red marking strips set against a neutral grey machine gun. In Field-Tested the white panels show visible scuffs and the edges of the stripes begin to break up, which suits the idea of a hard-used test rifle. The grey base hides most of the wear, so the gun still looks tidy overall.

Item type: machinegun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver, top cover, barrel, foregrip and box magazine are finished in a uniform dark grey with a matte metal feel. Along the rear of the receiver runs a white panel with red-and-white diagonal hazard stripes and small black technical lettering, and a narrow white band sits higher on the top cover.

The white panels show noticeable scuffs, and the edges of the red stripes start to flake. Some of the finest lettering becomes patchy. In game the markings are still recognisable, and the grey body hides most of the wear. Light marks appear on the corners of the magazine and the top cover.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The float of Souvenir Negev | Prototype ranges from 0 to 0.7; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 33% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir Negev | Prototype belongs to The Prisma 2 Collection, which holds 17 skins.

It drops from Prisma 2 Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Red, white and black stickers echo the hazard stripes and keep the technical feel. Industrial or warning-style designs placed on the grey receiver or the magazine fit the prototype theme without covering the markings.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at the white panels on the receiver, since they show wear first and define the look.
  • Check whether the hazard stripes and lettering are still readable at the float you choose.
  • A float near the clean end of its range gives noticeably sharper markings in the middle grades.
  • Make sure stickers and any name tag fit the grey and white-red scheme.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who like a used test-gun look at a moderate cost.
  • Those who want the markings still recognisable with some character.
  • Conclusion: a balanced choice for everyday play.
