Sour Grapes in Field-Tested keeps its purple identity, but the coat starts to show use on the receiver edges and the raised parts on top. Grey metal peeks through in thin lines, which suits the heavy, working character of the Negev. From a distance in a match it still reads as a clearly purple machinegun.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver, top rail, barrel shroud and front sight are painted in a deep violet with lighter purple highlights on the edges and raised details. The folding stock and grip use a darker, slightly muted shade of purple, so the weapon reads in several tones rather than one flat colour.

Scuffs spread along the edges of the receiver, the top rail, the front sight and the carry handle mount, with grey lines showing through the purple. The corners of the stock begin to lose paint as well. The flat sides of the receiver and the middle of the stock still hold most of their colour. In a match the gun reads as purple with light signs of use.
