Skin overview

Modern Hunter keeps its identity through the contrast of a light camo body and a black barrel even when heavily used. In Battle-Scarred large parts of the stock and receiver show bare patches and the orange leaves break up into fragments. It suits players who want the hunting camo theme with a deliberately beaten look.

Item type: shotgun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver and stock carry the main print: a photographic hunting camo of pale grey-olive branches with scattered orange and rust-yellow leaves. The long barrel is mostly black with light camo flecks running along its top, and the ribbed pump forend stays dark.

Large bare areas cover the stock and the edges of the receiver, and the muzzle and barrel top are heavily rubbed. The foliage survives only as fragments in the more protected spots. In game the gun reads as rough and weathered, with the light-and-dark contrast still visible. The dark pump changes the least of all parts.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.8

The whole float range of Souvenir Nova | Modern Hunter is 0.06–0.8; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.8 segment (47% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Militia Collection with 11 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in olive, brown, beige or orange tones blend with the hunting camo. Placing them on the dark barrel or pump gives contrast, while matte or paper stickers suit the realistic look better than bright holo ones.

What to look at before you buy

• Factory New covers only a narrow slice of the float range, so compare Minimal Wear copies near its lower end as a cheaper alternative.
• Inspect the muzzle, barrel top and stock edges, since these lose the print first.
• Souvenir copies come with preset stickers, so check that their placement suits you.
• Check for any name tag or applied stickers and whether they fit the muted camo.
