Skin overview

The Ocular finish turns the Nova into a surrealist piece, with eyes peering out from swirling teal shapes and ribbed cream bands along the pump and stock. In Minimal Wear the faint marks are hard to spot without inspecting the weapon closely. It keeps the full visual effect of the cleanest grade at a more modest entry point.

Item type: shotgun. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The barrel and magazine tube are painted in a teal-blue gradient, with a halftone dot pattern fading in near the dark muzzle and an orange ring at the tip. The pump is wrapped in ribbed cream bands with dark outlines, giving it a sculpted, almost organic look.

Small scuffs may appear on the muzzle and the tops of the pump ribs. They are barely visible at normal viewing distance. The receiver eyes and the stock artwork remain clean. In practice it reads almost the same as Factory New.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The float of Souvenir Nova | Ocular ranges from 0 to 1; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.15 — 8% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in teal, cream or orange match the palette and blend well with the artwork. Holo or eye-themed designs placed on the receiver or along the barrel echo the surrealist motif without covering the main eyes.

What to look at before you buy

• Check the float position within the wear range, since a low float in a worn grade can look noticeably cleaner.
• Inspect the pump ribs and the muzzle first, as these parts lose paint earliest.
• Look at the eyes on the receiver to make sure the key motif is not scratched off.
• Note any stickers or name tag, which can add to the look but are rarely valued above their own cost.
