Skin overview

The Rising Sun pattern pairs a dark metal barrel and ribbed pump with a colourful receiver and stock in a stained glass style. At Minimal Wear the pink and red segments look practically untouched, and any marks sit on edges where they are hard to notice in play. It gives nearly the same look as the cleanest grade at a more relaxed entry point.

Item type: shotgun. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The barrel is left in dark gunmetal with a silver front cap, and the ribbed pump is also dark with a cool grey sheen. The receiver carries the main artwork: pale pink and white blossoms, red accents and small decorative markings, divided into stained glass segments by dark outlines.

Light marks may appear on the receiver edges and the corners of the stock. The colour panels themselves look intact and the outlines stay sharp. At normal distance this grade is hard to tell apart from Factory New. The barrel and pump still look clean.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Souvenir Nova | Rising Sun is 0–1; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (8% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in pink, red, white or gold match the blossom and sun palette of the receiver. Dark or teal stickers can sit on the plain barrel area without competing with the artwork.

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the receiver edges and stock change noticeably between low and high values.
• Inspect the bottom and edges of the stock, as they lose paint first.
• Look at the small markings on the receiver to judge how crisp the artwork still is.
• Note any stickers or name tag and whether they suit the pink and red artwork.
