Skin overview

Chainmail on the P2000 is a semi-transparent hydrographic, so wear shows as more silver breaking through the khaki scales rather than as dark scars. In Field-Tested the edges look lighter and more polished, which suits the armour theme. Because the skin's range ends early, this grade stays close to the cleaner ones.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The slide carries the chainmail pattern in darker grey-brown tones, with the rows running along its length and the silver base visible at the muzzle and front edges. The frame and grip repeat the same scale motif in a lighter khaki, and brighter silver patches show on the trigger guard and along the grip sides.

Wear spreads along the top edges of the slide, the muzzle, the trigger guard and the lower part of the grip, where the pattern fades toward bare silver. The chainmail rows on the flat sides of the slide and frame stay readable, only softer in contrast. In game the pistol looks lighter and more worn at the edges, but the overall motif is still clear.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.22

The whole float range of Souvenir P2000 | Chainmail is 0–0.22; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.22 segment (32% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Silver, holo-silver and grey stickers blend with the metallic base, while gold or khaki tones match the chainmail scales. Placements on the flat side of the slide keep the pattern on the grip visible.

What to look at before you buy

  • Compare the float within the wear range, as low-float copies keep the muzzle and slide edges cleaner.
  • Look at the muzzle, trigger guard and grip bottom in the inspect view, since these lose the pattern first.
  • Souvenir copies come with pre-applied stickers, so check whether they suit the muted finish.
  • Check any name tag or applied stickers on regular copies before buying.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Budget buyers looking for an affordable entry into this skin.
  • Players who like lighter, polished-looking edges that fit the armour theme.
  • Conclusion: the most practical grade, since the pattern stays readable.
