Skin overview

Grip Tape keeps its identity even when heavily worn: a light silver body and dark tape-like shapes on the grip. In Battle-Scarred the white paint is broken up by dark patches across the slide edges, muzzle, frame and bottom of the grip, turning the clean look into a rough, weathered one. It is the cheapest way to carry this skin and suits players who like a battered pistol.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The slide and frame are painted in off-white and silver tones, with a thin light grey pattern of straight lines and rectangular outlines running along the slide. A dark line marks the joint between slide and frame, and the trigger guard and trigger area stay in the same pale paint.

Large dark areas break the white paint across the slide, frame, trigger guard and the base of the grip and magazine. The grey line pattern survives only in fragments on the flatter parts of the slide. In game the pistol reads as weathered and mottled rather than clean white. The dark grip panels remain the most recognisable part of the design.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.75

The float of Souvenir P2000 | Grip Tape ranges from 0 to 0.75; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.75 — 40% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir P2000 | Grip Tape belongs to The Achroma Collection, which holds 20 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Black, grey, silver and white stickers keep the monochrome scheme intact and sit well on the pale slide. A single bright accent such as red or blue stands out strongly against the white paint, so one sticker is usually enough. Holo or foil stickers in silver tones match the different sheens of the finish.

What to check before buying

  • Look at the muzzle and slide edges first, since dark metal shows clearly on this light finish.
  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, because a low float keeps the white paint noticeably cleaner.
  • Inspect the trigger guard and the bottom of the grip and magazine for chips.
  • On Souvenir copies, check which stickers are applied, as they cannot be removed without being scraped off.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Budget entry for anyone who wants this skin in the inventory.
  • Players who prefer a rough, weathered look over clean white paint.
  • The cheapest way to own Grip Tape, with a strongly worn character.
