Skin overview

The skin is recognisable by its cream-and-orange frame, brass cylinder and dark rubber grip. In Field-Tested the edges of the frame and barrel start to show bare metal, which gives the gun a used, workshop character. The orange panels and brass parts still carry the overall look.

Item type: pistol. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The barrel and frame are covered in a pale cream and light grey finish with orange angular panels that run along the barrel shroud and around the cylinder window. The cylinder, hammer and trigger have a warm brass finish, while the top rail and under-barrel accessory stay black.

Paint wears through on the muzzle, the top of the barrel and the frame corners, showing grey metal. The brass cylinder starts to look duller and scratched on its ridges. In game the scheme is still easy to read, with a slightly worn feel. The flat sides of the frame and most of the orange panels stay intact.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir R8 Revolver | Monarch is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Spy Tech Collection with 17 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Orange, gold and brass-toned stickers echo the cylinder and the accent panels. Cream, white or muted grey designs blend with the pale frame, while one dark sticker near the grip can add contrast.

What to check before buying

  • Check the float position within the wear grade, since the light paint shows chips clearly.
  • Look at the muzzle, barrel top and frame corners, where wear appears first.
  • Inspect the brass cylinder for dulling and scratches on its ridges.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, especially on souvenir copies.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who want the full colour scheme on a moderate budget.
  • Those who like a slightly used, workshop feel on a revolver.
  • Conclusion: the practical everyday grade.
